NFL Week 2

The New York Football Giants and Washington Football Team got week 2 of the NFL season off to a flying start on Thursday night football with Washington prevailing 30-29 winners. WFT wide receiver ‘ Scary ‘ Terry Mclaurin was on fire once again finishing the game with an impressive stat line of 11 catches for 107 yards and 1 touchdown helping take his team to a 1-1 record for the early season.

Derek Carr and the Raiders continued their impressive start to the campaign with a hard-fought but comfortable victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field, taking their second win against AFC North teams. The highlight play of the game was a 61-yard bomb from Carr to the lightning-quick Henry Ruggs III. Ruggs ended the game with 113 yards and a touchdown which took QB Derek Carr over 800 yards passing in just 2 games. However, it wasn’t all the offense with the defense showing up especially upfront with Solomon Thomas and Max Crosby pressing veteran passer Ben Rothlisberger all game.

There was a shootout between Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals with the game finishing 34-33 to Arizona, Kyler Murray was a magician in the pocket showcased by a crazy escape before launching a pass downfield for WR Rondale Moore. Buffalo Bills got their season back on track with a dominant victory over divisional rivals Miami with the Bills winning out 35 to nil, elsewhere in the division the Jets were well beaten by New England who forced rookie QB, Zach Wilson, into 4 interceptions.

The game of the week for 2 weeks in a row involves the Baltimore Ravens who came out winners against the star-studded Kansas City Chiefs at M&T Bank Stadium. The Ravens quarterback was in stellar form once again finishing the game with 346 combined passing and rushing yards as well as 1 passing and 2 running touchdowns. Jackson added to his crazy highlight reel with a game-winning 1 yard run into the endzone in which he flipped into the endzone!
